Where it is located?

South of the Nayarit coast, in the region of Bahía de Banderas Sayulita is located, a small paradise adorned by the beauty of the sea, the strength of the cliffs, rivers, lagoons and estuaries full of maritime life, the placid white sand beaches, natural characteristics of its waves, for international surfing events.

It has a tropical climate, with warm summers and winters. The average annual temperature is 25º.

You can surf all year round, although the best season to do so is from December to April. You can also witness various surf tournaments: Children's and Youth Surf Tournament, Pacific Music Festival Open Surf Tournament, Annual Longboard Surf Tournament and Paddle Board, among others.

Sayulita has established itself as one of the most complete yoga centers, here this discipline is taught in various modalities, for beginners and experienced. Look for the Hotelito Los Sueños to receive classes in his studio, every day, during mornings and afternoons.

Beaches: Kestos Malpaso, Muertos, and Patzcuarito

They are of fine sand, those of the south are ideal for beginner surfers and those of the north, for all levels. You can also swim, kayak, fish, hike, horseback ride, and snorkel.

Sayulita Turtle Camp

Every summer the olive ridley species arrives to spawn in this region. The eggs are protected in the Sayulita Turtle Camp throughout the year, but especially from October to January is when the chelonians are released.

Monkey Hill

In the town of Higuera Blanca, a few kilometers from Sayulita, there is an incredible place. The Hill of the Monkey. If you are an adventurer, you love nature and trekking in the jungle, it is the perfect place for you.

Festivities that take place 

  1. Sayulita Festival, January 30 to February 3. Short films, movies, drinks, gastronomy, physical activity and a great concert; all this on the beach.
  2. Sayulita Shore Fishing Tournament, May 25-26. fishing party
  3. Day of the Dead, November 1 and 2. Exhibition of altars, pilgrimages and night procession to the pantheon.
  4. Surf Open Sayulita, November 22. Competition of the Mexican Open Surf League.
  5. Patron Saint Festivities of Our Lady of Guadalupe, December 1 to 12. Nine days of pilgrimages.

The diversity of activities does not end and you can also practice fishing, which is a very popular sport in Sayulita, and boasts the capture of species such as marlin, swordfish, dorado and snapper, among other species.
